Cottonwood Arizona

Camped at Dead Horse Ranch State Park. Great campsites with space between campers and nice mountain views.

In the morning we drove highway 89A also called the Mingus Mountain Scenic Highway from Cottonwood through Jerome to Prescott. Great mountain drive through Prescott National Forest with plenty of hairpin switchbacks. We were amazed at the number of pine cones at the tops of the trees, but we never got a good picture.

We ate at Pizzeria Bocce and both the meat pie pizza and the Oak Creek Nut Brown Ale from Sedona were excellent. After walking down the old town section we ended up at Belfry Brewery for a pretzel and a flight. Favorite there was the honey pecan ale.
